about

Better Broken is the debut album by York band The Rodeo Falls.

Recorded in a quick time frame as the impending departure of bassist Bob Jackson and impending birth of Dave Carpenter's son left the band wanting to capture all the songs they had to date (with the exception of Captains Of Industry and Dyed In Wool, both of which feature on the previous Jam Jar Session EP).

Most of the songs sound exactly as they do live, whilst others, like Men Under The Moon, gave the band space to have some studio fun with Dan Whiting the producer.

Better Broken is a sum of its parts - brash, melodic, anthemic and at all times, fun!

Lyrical themes spiral away from each other throughout the album, but are never far from home, nor the meaning behind the album title.

The Rodeo Falls were, up to and for this album, Mike Bilson, Dave Carpenter, Bob Jackson and Marck Whiley.

Thanks to Dan Whiting at The White Rooms, York, for all the studio assistance. June and Tam at the Jam Jar for helping us find our feet and shape the band sound. Laura and Jono for their artistic input and the album cover.

As this is a free album, we ask one thing in return - please share this link and or the songs as much as you can and help us get the next recording under way sooner rather than later!
